How Invisalign Works

The first step is the consultation, which is when we will determine if you’re a good candidate for Invisalign. If the answer is “yes,” then we will create your custom treatment plan, take impressions of your teeth, and have a custom series of clear aligners made.

You’ll be given specific instructions on how long to wear each pair of aligners (usually between 1 and 2 weeks). You’ll also need to wear them for 20+ hours each day in order to stay on-track with your treatment plan. Every 6-8 weeks, you’ll come to our office so we can monitor the movement of your teeth as well.

Who Invisalign Can Help

Fortunately, Invisalign aligners aren’t just discreet; they are also versatile. In fact, they’ve helped countless patients with the following orthodontic problems over the years:

Crowded Teeth

When your teeth rotate out of their properly aligned positions, unique crevices form that trap food particles, plaque, and other debris. This may not seem like a huge deal, but it increases your risk of developing cavities significantly. Fortunately, Invisalign aligners are up for the task!

Gaps Between Teeth

If your teeth are spaced out, then you know all too well how easily debris can get caught. While this increases your risk of common oral health problems, there is some good news: Invisalign aligners can move your teeth together, closing the gaps in the process.

Bite Alignment

In addition to being able to improve the alignment of your teeth, Invisalign can improve the alignment of your bite! So, if you have an overbite, underbite, crossbite, or open bite, don’t just assume metal braces are your only option. We can achieve the same incredible results with Invisalign.

Benefits of Invisalign

Are you drawn to the idea of straightening your teeth without noticeable brackets and wires? If so, you’re not alone! Over 17 million patients have chosen Invisalign because:

The Aligners Are Clear and Comfortable

Naturally, one of the biggest perks of Invisalign is that the aligners are basically invisible, ensuring no unwanted attention is drawn to your smile. However, that’s not the only reason you’ll love this innovative orthodontic treatment. The trays are also crafted from smooth plastic and custom-made to fit the contours of your mouth. As a result, you won’t deal with considerable soft-tissue irritation on your path to your dream smile!

There Aren’t Any Dietary Restrictions

With traditional braces, there is a long list of foods that patients need to avoid, including whole apples, raw carrots, popcorn, and tortilla chips. That’s not the case with Invisalign! Since the clear aligners are removable, there isn’t the same risk of sustaining a serious orthodontic emergency. All we ask is that you do what you can to prevent chips, cracks, and cavities, like not eating hard pretzels or over-indulging on foods loaded with added sugar.

Brushing and Flossing Are Easy

Since traditional braces are bonded in place, patients often need interproximal toothbrushes, pre-threaded floss, and other special dental care products to effectively clean their teeth. Since Invisalign aligners are removable, you don’t need to change your dental care regimen at all! Simply brush, floss, and rinse with mouthwash like usual and, when you’re done, clean your aligners as well.

The Average Treatment Timeline Is Shorter

Although there are several factors at play, including the severity of the orthodontic issues at hand, patients often wear traditional braces for 2-3 years. Invisalign, on the other hand, has an average treatment timeline of only 12-18 months. If you are interested in getting an estimate of the cost of your teeth-straightening journey with clear aligners, schedule a consultation with us! Once we know more about your case, including how many trays need to be made, we can provide you with an answer.

There Are Fewer Check-In Visits

Are you a busy parent? Maybe your schedule is jam-packed with to-dos related to school or work. Whatever the case may be, you might not have the capacity to attend monthly, hour-long adjustment appointments. Fortunately, you don’t have to with Invisalign. You’ll be given several sets of aligners at a time so you can progress through portions of your treatment plan at home. Then, every 6-8 weeks, you’ll return to our office so we can monitor your progress.

How Much Does Invisalign Cost?

In short, there isn’t a one-size-fits-all answer when it comes to the cost. This often surprises patients, but there’s a good reason for it: no two treatment plans are the same! In order to provide you with an accurate estimate of the price of your Invisalign treatment, we need to know more about your case, including how severe it is and how many aligners need to be made. Rest assured, we will provide you with a number and review the financial solutions available at your consultation.
